Todd, as many have mentioned, it’s wonderful the transparency you’ve brought to this aspect of the process of the stokemonkey. One of these days when I can afford to own one, I will delight in thinking of some of the faces of the people responsible for the joy it will bring me. Thanks again for your albatross bar recommendations back in January (in your Completing the circle post reply). I now have albatross bars with silver shifters and cork grips and LOVE them.

yup, musa shirt too, and riv’s long wool underwear, which was way too hot for the conditions. they’re unbeatable as travel pants, and the shirt’s good too: it’s pre-wrinkled seersucker so no sense worrying about pressing. and seersucker goes from hot-weather cool to a decent thermal insulation layer with the addition of a wind shell.

the upcoming china entries will be all about my experience as a tourist instead of my company mission.

… and by the way… are those Rivendell “MUSA” pants you’re wearing? If so, how’d they work as travel gear?

Todd, great to see the human faces behind the manufacture of stokemonkey’s hardware, I had visions of some huge state owned factory, how wrong one can be.
Thank you.

This is a brilliant travelbusnilogue, Todd. Asian manufacturing is a black box of generalizations, stereotypes, and assumptions for most Americans. What a marvel to see your little supply stream unfolded in the light. Thank you for setting such a fine example for the rest of us mini-transnationals.
