Harsh

Apparently in affiliation with Chicago’s Healthy Streets Campaign comes this very, very darkly humorous “TV ad.” Very dark. (You have been warned, sensitive viewers think twice unless you drive):

I have to give it good marks for “impact” (sorry) and unflinching satire. Found through Portland’s Bicycle Transportation Alliance.

It’s cold, but it’s funny… there’s a British humor (humour?) taste to this clip. It made me laugh, but it’s also sad that such things have to exist. Perhaps it will make some drivers think a bit more… who am I kidding?

Harsh, but sadly, all too close to reality.

Harsh, yes, but until they make actual competance a requirement for a driver’s license, anything that makes people think is worth a try.
