Nihola trikes

Most trikes with kids in front require you to swivel the whole load when you steer, but the Nihola’s front wheels turn independently of the cargo area, with sophisticated Ackermann steering. Furthermore, the cargo area’s floor is well below the level of the axles, for a very low center of gravity. The result is the most secure handling of any of the many family trikes we’ve tried.
Some people are drawn to trikes believing that they are easier to ride than bikes. The truth is that they are neither easier nor harder, but simply different. While trikes are extremely stable at low speeds, especially with heavy loads, with higher speeds and lighter loads comes the need for skill to avoid tipping. Regardless of your confidence riding bicycles, it takes practice to develop this skill, during which time it is important to keep speeds low. We strongly encourage people to test ride any bike before buying. This is even more important in the case of trikes.
