Electra

Since 1993, Electra has probably done more to expand the appeal of bicycling beyond the “sport and fitness” market in this country than any other single company, offering relaxed, attractive, practical designs at accessible prices.

Ticino

New in 2010, the Ticino line puts an asterisk on the company’s unofficial tagline of “bikes for people who don’t ride bikes” with this homage to mid-century French “constructeur” aesthetics, aiming right for an enthusiast’s heart with gorgeous attention to detail, excellent build quality, and a lighter, sportier turn than anything else so comfortable.

Amsterdam

In 2006, the Electra Amsterdam became the first line of European-style city bikes introduced on a large scale in North America in decades.

Shortly after Clever Cycles opened less than a year later, the Amsterdam line quickly became a favorite, lighter, more affordable alternative to our premium Dutch imports. Each year has seen gradual improvements through the line, while the “Balloon” variants have proven very popular Xtracycle conversion bases.

Townie

Electra introduced what they call “Flat Foot Technology” with the Townie line in 2003. They were quickly copied by most other major bike manufacturers. Its extremely relaxed seat tube angle appeals to people afraid of falling, making it a favorite among new bikers or those returning after decades. This same feature makes it easy to get a foot down without leaning the bike, making it a great conversion platform for family Xtracycles.
