I am very curious how the owner likes that hub, especially on an upright bike and with a dynohub! I love the idea of normalising fixed gear, and I think this hub has the potential to do that.
I'm still deciding if I like the hub. It does a few things well and a few things not so well. My biggest peeve is related to the amount of play that has to be built into the hub to allow shifting. There is a half an inch of play moving the cranks back and forth--analogous to a VERY loose chain. But it does shift smoothly, offers a low enough gear to climb our hilly portions of Portland, and comes in silly colors.
I flipped the stock handlebars over to give it more of a scorcher feel which I've enjoyed.
We are building a 20" wheel for a Moulton TSR2 with the Sturmey-Archer S3X hub and a belt drive. Stay tuned as we dial it in.
