Barlow Pass (720 m/2361 ft) is part of the Mountain Loop Highway, a scenic gravel road through the central Cascades. The road lead past the ghost town of Monte Cristo before ascending the pass. The road here is wide-open, so the extra stability of a large-wheeled bike can provide an advantage as you descend at high speed on this gravel road.
