Glad I have them
For light-rain and might-rain days, I carry or wear these. Had to return my first pair because of minor construction errors and fairly substantial leakage far too soon to be related to age or wear. The second pair is behaving well, and has for several years. I love that they, unlike all my other pairs of rain pants - don't take up much space, don't have to be pulled over boots, and don't have to be awkwardly stuffed back into their own pocket after I'm sure they're COMPLETELY dry. They cover only what they need to cover, have never gotten mud-spattered because they don't get that close to the ground, and have never had to go through the careful washing that I keep trying with other waterproof-breathable rain gear. Haven't washed them yet, and you'd never know it.

Dissapointing
I had high hopes for these. Unfortunately, in a light rain, they just seem to shed water onto my feet and my thighs get damp from sweat...might as well be wearing most any kind of non-cotton pants. Furthermore, it's like I'm wearing some kind of garter, but I don't feel sexy.

Fabulous
I've long wanted a pair of chaps to keep the top of my thighs dry but without overheating during rainy rides. Full rain pants are just too hot, unless you're not riding far. These chaps do the job perfectly. They're easy to put on or stow, and most importantly keep my legs dry. I have occasionally ended up with a bit of a wet spot on my lap but due only to the placement of my rain jacket, which occasionally slips up a bit and deposits water just above the chaps. For that reason, I wish the chaps didn't have the non-rainproof mesh area at the very top, but it's not too difficult to get that under the rain jacket, so long as I remember. bottomline: they're super practical, they work, they're easy to use.
