If your project requires additional consultation or hands-on configuration beyond the first hour, we simply bill for the extra time at our standard shop rate. We’ll always check with you before adding time.

We don’t perform advanced performance fittings, but we’ll help you adjust your bike for comfort and riding goals. If needed, we can refer you to professional fitters for specialized adjustments.

Yes! We provide zero interest financing to spread out the costs over 12 months.

We'll do our best to divert avid types while we explore choices with you. We're not a shop for "avid cyclists" any more than most shoe stores are focused on avid pedestrianism. We’ll help you find a bike that works for you—your test riding is the best way to decide, not technical jargon.

Yes! Our location in inner Southeast Portland offers calm streets for testing. We often send riders to a nearby industrial area or scenic spots like Ladd's Addition.

No, we don’t sell traditional beach cruisers. Many of our bikes have swept handlebars for upright riding, ideal for urban transportation and child seats.

We started with Dutch bikes in 2007 due to their exceptional durability and functionality. While their popularity as "trendy" accessories has faded, we still admire their practicality. Today, we stock lighter alternatives suited for Portland’s hills while remaining inspired by the Netherlands' cycling culture.

We are open 360 days a year. Weekdays 11-5, weekends 11-5. We are closed on January 1st and 2nd, February 6th, 4th of July, Non-Canadian Thanksgiving, and December 25th. We close at 2pm on December 24th and 31st.

Our Custom Shop currently supports C Line, P Line, T Line, and G Line.

Each platform offers its own strengths:
• C Line — the classic Brompton feel; durable, versatile, everyday-ready
• P Line — lighter, quicker, great for mixed commutes
• T Line — ultra-light, high-performance titanium
• G Line — Brompton’s newest all-terrain option with a robust 8-speed hub

Just about everything can be swapped, upgraded, or recolored:

We've got your back. Most purchases are returnable within 30 days for an exchange or refund, excluding sale items, underwear, helmets missing tags, special orders, and bikes shipped via freight. Returns by mail require prior authorization; email us for instructions. Items must be in new condition with original packaging and receipt. A 2.5% fee may apply to refunded credit card payments to recover processing fees.

If we lower the price within 30 days of your purchase, bring your receipt, and we’ll issue store credit for the difference.

A bike fits when its saddle can be adjusted so your knees are almost straight at full pedal extension. We’ll guide you during test rides and adjust for your comfort

We are not a discount shop. Our prices are pre-haggled to support our staff and provide lasting service. Floor models and new stock are treated the same unless an item is marked as shop-worn.

We only offer components from manufacturers we trust. Everything is installed and tested in-house by experienced mechanics. No mystery internet parts, no compatibility gambles.

Handlebars, Ergon grips with bar-ends, are a couple that can. Just ask us if you have concerns. The Brompton was successful because the fold is superior and not difficult. We try not to mess with that.
