All Brompton bicycle frames have a 7-year warranty when registered. The electrical components on the Brompton Electric are covered by a 2-year warranty. All other non-wearing components have a 2-year warranty when purchased from an authorized dealer like Clever Cycles.

Yes. The 250W motor with pedal-assist-only operation meets US and EU e-bike regulations. It's classified as a standard ebike not typically requiring registration insurance or special licenses. Allowed on bike paths and transit where ebikes are permitted. The current models of the Brompton Electric, including the Electric C Line, are UL 2849 certified, ensuring they meet rigorous safety standards for e-bike electrical systems. These certified models comply with safety regulations for sale and use in cities like New York.

The bike includes the motor, battery, integrated carrying bag, rear rack, fenders, 40 Lux front and rear lights powered by the main battery, a USB charging port for devices and the standard Brompton features. Lights are powered by the ebike battery.

Yes. With the battery removed you have a standard Brompton—just slightly heavier due to the hub motor in the rear wheel. With the battery attached but assist off you can still ride normally. The motor adds minimal resistance when not in use.

Yes. The battery is housed in a specially designed front bag that can be removed or attached during the fold. The bike folds to nearly the same dimensions as a non-electric Brompton making it practical for transit and storage.

The Electric C Line features a four-speed gearing system that makes hills and headwinds manageable, even for riders who might struggle on a non-electric bike.

The rear hub motor provides pedal assist—it amplifies your pedaling rather than replacing it. Power delivery is smooth and intuitive. You control assist level via buttons on the handlebar-mounted display. No throttle; you must pedal.

20-45 miles depending on assist level, terrain, rider weight, and conditions. The 345 Wh battery provides reliable commuter range. A full charge takes about 4 hours. The battery can be removed and charged on or off the bike.

The Electric C Line weighs approximately 38 lbs with the battery (32 lbs without). The battery is integrated into a removable front bag that clips on and off. Heavier than non-electric Bromptons but light for an ebike.
