Enter into Dutch Ebike Utility, Without the Complexity
The Medeo T9 Low Step is Gazelle’s most accessible commuter platform — it delivers core Dutch utility and upright comfort without the higher price and internal gearing systems found on their upper models. It uses a Shimano 9-speed derailleur drivetrain instead of a hub system, making it lighter and familiar to riders who are used to traditional bicycles but want to step into the Gazelle reliability ecosystem.
Powered by the Bosch Active Line Plus motor, it assists smoothly up to 20 mph and maintains predictable control at all speeds. The low step-through frame is true Dutch geometry — stable, confidence-focused, and easy to mount even with gear, work clothing, or limited mobility.
This is a real transportation bike, not just an ebike with commuter add-ons. It’s built to carry load, survive weather, and replace daily car trips without demanding advanced maintenance habits.

Bike Sizing, Simplified
Gazelle bikes don’t come in a dozen frame sizes like racing bikes — and that’s on purpose. Their upright, comfortable design and step-through frames let each size fit a wide range of riders. A more relaxed seat tube angle and higher handlebars mean that when you raise or lower the saddle, your leg reach and distance to the bars adjust naturally. In other words, one frame can fit people who are several inches apart in height. When choosing your Gazelle, the right size depends mostly on your height and preferred riding posture, not on fine-tuned racing measurements. Use the chart below to find your size — we’ll set up the saddle and handlebars so it feels perfect for you.
| Rider Height | Frame Size | Frame Label |
|---|---|---|
| 4'9"–5'2" | 40 | XS |
| 4'10"–5'6" | 45–46 | S |
| 5'6"–5'10" | 50–53 | M |
| 5'10"–6'3" | 55–57 | L |
If you’re between sizes, choose smaller for closer handlebars and larger for a bit more reach.
Fine-tune at pickup
We’ll set saddle height and handlebar angle for you in minutes. Expect about 4 inches of seatpost range for multi-rider households.
Step-through vs step-over
Step-through: easiest to get on and off. Step-over: slightly sportier feel.
