  • Details That Matter

    • Traditional 9-speed derailleur drivetrain keeps cost down and shifting familiar for riders coming from standard bikes.
    • Active Line Plus motor delivers power quietly and progressively — ideal for new ebike riders.
    • Low step-through allows true walk-on mounting, not just a lowered top tube.
    • Integrated rear rack and lighting enable immediate cargo and commuting use without aftermarket setup.
    • Hydraulic disc brakes ensure control in wet and unpredictable stop/start scenarios.
  • Is This Your Gazelle? Read On.

You want a reliable Dutch commuter ebike but don’t need internal gears or high-load cargo performance. You want upright posture, easy mounting, Bosch power, and a stable frame without moving into the premium tier. You’re fine with a derailleur system if it keeps the bike lighter and easy to service at any shop. You’re here for utility, not luxury — and that’s exactly what the Medeo T9 delivers.

  • Pure Gazelle

Gazelle has spent over a century building bikes for real transportation in all-weather city conditions. That legacy shows up even in their entry-level platforms. The Medeo T9 may use a derailleur instead of an internal hub, but it still follows the same Gazelle priorities: easy mounting, upright posture, integrated cargo support, and low-maintenance urban durability.

Where many brands build an ebike and then accessorize it, Gazelle builds a full transport system from the start — frame, rack, lighting, and stability geometry designed to work together.

Bike Sizing, Simplified

Gazelle bikes don’t come in a dozen frame sizes like racing bikes — and that’s on purpose. Their upright, comfortable design and step-through frames let each size fit a wide range of riders. A more relaxed seat tube angle and higher handlebars mean that when you raise or lower the saddle, your leg reach and distance to the bars adjust naturally. In other words, one frame can fit people who are several inches apart in height. When choosing your Gazelle, the right size depends mostly on your height and preferred riding posture, not on fine-tuned racing measurements. Use the chart below to find your size — we’ll set up the saddle and handlebars so it feels perfect for you.

Rider Height Frame Size Frame Label
4'9"–5'2" 40 XS
4'10"–5'6" 45–46 S
5'6"–5'10" 50–53 M
5'10"–6'3" 55–57 L

If you’re between sizes, choose smaller for closer handlebars and larger for a bit more reach.

Fine-tune at pickup

We’ll set saddle height and handlebar angle for you in minutes. Expect about 4 inches of seatpost range for multi-rider households.

Step-through vs step-over

Step-through: easiest to get on and off. Step-over: slightly sportier feel.
