This dark roast whole bean coffee is bold, full-bodied, and rich. It is roasted longer for deeper flavor and a classic dark roast character, with smoky and bittersweet chocolate notes. It holds up well to milk and sugar, so it is a good pick for a strong morning cup.
The beans come from small producers in the Ilamatepec mountain range of El Salvador, grown at high elevation. The coffee is roasted fresh in Oakland and shipped soon after roasting. A portion of every sale is donated to World Bicycle Relief.
