Description
Replacement Hinge Spindle to Restore a Tight, Smooth Fold
This hinge spindle is the pivot pin used at the handlebar stem hinge, and it can also be used on short wheelbase (SWB) main frame hinges where this size applies. If your hinge feels loose, worn, or inconsistent when folding and unfolding, replacing a tired spindle can help bring back a secure, precise hinge feel.
Because Brompton hinge parts vary by model year and wheelbase, it’s best to match this part to the spindle you’re replacing to confirm correct fit before installation.
Small Things – Big Difference
- Replacement hinge spindle for the handlebar stem hinge
- Also used on some short wheelbase main frame hinges
- Helps restore a stable hinge interface for smoother folding and a tighter ride feel
- Best practice: compare length and fitment to your removed part before ordering
