The C Line uses a classic steel frame; the P Line is partly titanium and is about 3 lbs lighter. The C Line offers a lower price point. Choose the P Line if weight is your top priority; choose the C Line for value and versatility. Want an even lighter Brompton? Go for the T Line.

The P Line Urban (4-speed) weighs approximately 21.8 lbs. The P Line Explore (12-speed) weighs around 23.1 lbs. That's roughly 3 lbs lighter than the equivalent C Line—a noticeable difference when carrying up stairs or onto transit.

The P Line has a titanium rear frame with a steel main frame. The T Line is full titanium with carbon components—about 4-5 lbs lighter than the P Line. The T Line is Brompton's lightest and most expensive option. Choose the P Line for a balance of weight savings and value.

The P Line uses a titanium rear frame and lightweight fork; the C Line is all steel. The P Line is about 3 lbs lighter and costs more. Both fold to the same compact size and share the same ride geometry. Choose the P Line if weight matters; choose the C Line for value.

Yes. The P Line folds to the same compact size as the C Line in under 20 seconds. The partly titanium frame does not change the fold mechanism or dimensions.

Yes. Check out our Brompton Custom Shop Design Studio. At Clever Cycles, we can help you spec the right configuration.

The P Line comes with Schwalbe One tires (35mm) and lightweight Tubolito inner tubes.

If you carry your bike frequently—up stairs every day or onto crowded trains—the 3 lb weight savings is noticeable. If your bike mostly rolls beside you or sits at your destination the C Line delivers the same ride for less money.

Every Brompton from Clever Cycles includes our Pro Build—a $150 upgrade free. Your bike gets a full inspection, wheels trued and tensioned, brakes and gears dialed in, every fastener torqued to spec, then test-ridden and verified by a second mechanic before it goes out the door. You also get warranty support, expert fitting advice, reward points, and zero-interest financing. More information about our Pro-build is available here.

At Clever Cycles, yes. We keep demo bikes available so you can feel the weight difference compared to the C Line before committing. We have anywhere from 50-100 Bromptons in stock at any given time.
