Compact Utility E-Bike With Auto-Shifting Gears and Front Suspension
The Segway MUXI Pro takes the short-tail utility MUXI and adds the two things riders ask us for most: gears and suspension. A 9-speed drivetrain with Segway's electronic auto-shifting changes gear for you based on your pedaling cadence, so you never think about which gear you're in, whether you're pulling away from a light with a kid on the back or spinning up a Portland hill. A 70mm suspension fork takes the edge off cracked pavement, curb cuts, and gravel paths. Underneath, it's the same proven platform: a quiet 750W direct-drive rear hub motor with 80 Nm of torque, a 717Wh removable battery good for up to 73 miles per charge, a low step-through frame, and 20" x 3.0" tires that stay planted when the bike is loaded.
Front and rear 2-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors deliver consistent, low-effort stopping, and Segway's Intelligent Ride System layers in traction control, hill descent control, hill start assist, regenerative braking, and adaptive power so the bike stays predictable whether you're riding light or hauling groceries and a passenger. A water-resistant color TFT display shows speed, navigation, battery, and call notifications, integrated turn signals help you communicate with traffic, and the bike pairs with the Segway Mobility app for ride data and settings. Apple Find My, GPS tracking, and the AirLock proximity unlock system give you real anti-theft peace of mind when the bike is parked outside a shop or school. With a 418 lb total payload, a 121 lb rear rack, and the full MUXI accessory ecosystem, the MUXI Pro scales from solo commuter to two-up family hauler.
MUXI vs. MUXI Pro
- Gears: the MUXI is single-speed; the Pro adds a 9-speed drivetrain with electronic auto-shifting.
- Suspension: the MUXI has a rigid fork; the Pro adds a 70mm-travel suspension fork.
- Turn signals: integrated turn indicators are standard on the Pro.
- Everything else carries over: same 750W motor, 80 Nm torque, removable battery, hydraulic brakes, step-through frame, smart features, and accessory compatibility.
Made for Daily Hauls
- 9-speed drivetrain with electronic auto-shifting: set your preferred cadence and pick Casual, Standard, or Sport mode in the app, then let the bike shift for you.
- 70mm front suspension fork smooths rough city pavement and light gravel, and keeps steering composed with a loaded front basket.
- Step-through frame with low standover and upright geometry makes mounting, riding, and dismounting easy, even with cargo or a child on the back.
- 750W direct-drive rear hub motor delivers 80 Nm of torque for hills and city traffic, with near-silent operation thanks to the gearless direct-drive design.
- 717Wh removable battery offers up to 73 miles of range per charge and detaches from the frame for indoor charging at any standard outlet.
- Front and rear 2-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors deliver reliable stopping in wet or dry conditions, with low lever effort even under heavy load.
- Traction control, hill descent control, hill start assist, and regenerative braking work together to keep the bike steady when carrying weight or riding wet pavement.
- 600-lumen automatic headlight, integrated turn indicators, and a tail light with brake signal improve visibility and communicate your moves to drivers.
- Color TFT display shows speed, navigation, battery, and call notifications; pairs with the Segway Mobility app over Bluetooth for ride data and settings.
- Apple Find My integration, GPS tracking, motion alarm, and AirLock proximity unlock add real-world anti-theft and locating features for urban use.
- 418 lb total payload supports rider plus passenger or cargo, with up to 121 lb on the rear rack when fitted with the optional Passenger Kit.
- 20" x 3.0" multi-surface tires absorb rough pavement and add stability when the bike is loaded.
- Compatible with the MUXI Passenger Kit, front and mid baskets, fenders, Rear-View Radar, and the Xiro automatic dropper post.
