Hand-Carved Linocut Print, Pulled by the Artist
The Cherry on Top print is part of Shang Daili's ongoing series of cycling-themed linocuts, each one carved by hand from a linoleum block, inked, and pulled one sheet at a time in her California studio. Because every print is hand-pressed, no two pieces are exactly identical — small variations in ink coverage, registration, and impression depth are part of the medium and part of what separates a hand-pulled print from a digital reproduction.
The image is printed with oil-based archival ink on 300 gsm acid-free cotton paper, the same archival-grade stock used for fine art and museum work. The print is signed and numbered by the artist, and ships flat (never rolled) in plastic-free, recyclable packaging. This is original artwork from a working printmaker — a piece for cyclists who want their walls to look like they ride.
Original Hand-Pulled Artwork
- Hand-carved linocut, hand-pulled by the artist — not a digital reproduction or giclée.
- Printed with oil-based archival ink that resists fading and stays vivid for the long haul.
- 300 gsm acid-free cotton paper — heavyweight, archival-grade stock with a soft tactile surface.
- Each print is unique: small variations in ink, registration, and impression depth are inherent to the medium.
- Part of Shang Daili's cycling print series, sitting alongside Coffee and Col, Ride to Ramen, Sprinted Away, and Salted Watermelon.
