The Shimano BB-RS500 Hollowtech II Press-Fit Bottom Bracket is a Tiagra-level component designed for press-fit road frames with 86.5mm shell width and 41mm outer diameter bearings. This bottom bracket provides a solid foundation for all Shimano Hollowtech II cranksets with 24mm spindles, delivering smooth rotation and durable performance for road cycling. The sealed cartridge bearing system protects against the elements while ensuring long-lasting, reliable operation across miles of training and racing.
Designed for BB86 frame interfaces, the BB-RS500 includes cups, sealed cartridge bearings, and an inner sleeve for complete installation. The press-fit design provides a secure, integrated fit within the frame's bottom bracket shell, while the sealed bearings minimize maintenance requirements and maximize durability. Compatible with all Shimano Hollowtech II cranksets as well as other 24mm spindle systems including FSA MegaExo, the BB-RS500 offers versatile compatibility and proven Shimano quality at an accessible price point. Note that while the cups can be used on BB92 frames, the inner sleeve will not fit properly and should be reused from the old bottom bracket.
