Rear Rack With Extra Heel Clearance
The Soma Rakku 2 Alloy Rear Rack is built for riders who want solid cargo capacity without kicking their panniers every few pedal strokes. Its platform is set slightly farther behind the rear axle than most racks, giving extra heel clearance on bikes with shorter chainstays, like many road, gravel, and CX frames.
Made from sturdy aluminum tubing and finished in silver, it offers dual-level pannier rails, a generous platform for baskets or strapped-on loads, and dedicated mounts for lights and cargo cages. Updated mounting hardware and included spacers help it fit both classic 130 mm road frames and modern 142 mm gravel or MTB frames.
Carry More, Ride Better
- Setback platform reduces heel strikes with panniers on frames with chainstays under ~430 mm.
- Dual-level pannier mounting lets you hang bags low for stability or higher for clearance.
- Wider lower mounting points and included spacers fit a broad range of dropout styles.
- Eyelets on the back and top make it easy to mount cargo cages or lash a crate or basket to the platform.
- Integrated bracket for a rear light or reflector keeps visibility gear neatly mounted.
- Alloy construction keeps weight reasonable while still handling real-world commuting and touring loads.
