Extra-Wide Footrests and Cargo Support for the GSD
The Tern GSD Sidekick Wide Decks expand the bike’s integrated lower decks to create a broader, more secure platform for both passengers and cargo. Extending the rear deck width to 12 cm, they give kids a comfortable place to rest their feet and provide extra support under heavy panniers or low-mounted loads so the bike feels more planted when fully packed.
Each aluminum deck is rated to carry up to 35 kg, making them a smart spot for toolboxes, coolers, or other dense cargo you want to keep low and centered. Slotted openings along the surface make it easy to run straps around odd-shaped items, and a cutout on the left side lets you remove the GSD’s thru-axle without pulling the deck off the bike.
